Lockheed T-33A
Il Lockheed T-33, realizzato nelle versioni mono e biposto, deriva direttamente dall'F-80 Shooting Star ed ha rappresentato subito l'aereo da addestramento di tutte le aviazioni del mondo occidentale. Il T-33 vola per la prima volta il 22 marzo 1948 ed in un solo anno viene prodotto in ben 5.691 esemplari. La prima fornitura di settanta T-33 biposto giunge in Italia nell'autunno 1952 ed equipaggia il Nucleo Addestramento Volo a Reazione dell'aeroporto di Foggia-Amendola fino all'agosto del 1965, quando viene sostituito dal G.91T. Successivamente il T-33 viene impiegato anche come addestratore al volo strumentale, come aereo da collegamento e come traino bersagli. I principali paesi utilizzatori del Lockheed T-33 sono stati: Stati Uniti, Canada, Giappone, Francia, Turchia e Italia. Presso la nostra Aeronautica Militare l'aereo ha cessato la propria attività il 31 marzo 1982. Il T-33 esposto al Parco Tematico dell'Aviazione ha le insegne e i codici del Centro Standardizzazione al Tiro (SST) di Decimomannu (Ca).
The Lockheed T-33, produced in both single-seater and two-seater versions, was developed directly from F-80 Shooting Star, and soon after its appearance it became one of the most popular training planes for the air forces of NATO countries. It first flew on 22 March 1948, and 5691 aircraft were built in a single year. In autumn of 1952 the first delivery of 70 T-33's reached Italy, where they were assigned to the Jet Flight Training Centre at Amendola Airport (Foggia). They were replaced by Fiat G.91T's in August 1965. The T-33 was later used as an instrument trainer, a liaison aircraft and a target tower. The main countries in which the T-33 served were the United States, Canada, Japan, France,Turkey and Italy. The Italian Air Force phased the T-33 out defitively on 31 March 1982. The plane displayed carries the insignia and identification numbers of Gunnery Standardization Centre based at Decimomannu in Sardinia.
Die Lockheed T-33, in den Versionen Ein- und Zweisitzer, war der direkte Abkömmling der F-80 Shooting Star und symbolisierte sofort das Ausbildungsflugzeug aller Luftwafffen der westlichen Welt. Die T-33 flog zum ersten Mal am 22.März 1948 und innerhalb von nur einem Jahr wurden 5691 Exemplare produziert. Die erste Lieferung von 70 T-33 Zweisitzer nach Italien erfolgte im Herbst 1952 und stattete damit die Düsenflugausbildungsgruppe auf dem Flughafen von Foggia-Amendola bis August 1965 aus, als sie mit der Fiat G.91T ersetzt wurde. Nachfolgend wurde die T-33 auch als Instrumentalflugausbilder, sowie als Verbindungsflugzeug und für Zielschußübungen eingesetzt. Die Hauptländer, die die Lockheed T-33 benutzten, waren: USA, Kanada, Japan, Frankreich, Türkei und Italien. Das Flugzeug hat seine Aktivität bei der Italienischen Luftwaffe am 31. März 1982 beendet. Das ausgestellte Flugzeug trägt die Aufschrift und den Code des "Centro Standardizzazione al Tiro" von Decimomannu (Cagliari, Sardinien).
